BYHA is excited to move forward with forming an At Large Tier II U18 team for the next half season. We will soon be announcing a mid-May try-out date (hopefully on a Sunday to not interfere with Spring sports). This will give Head Coach Ryder Noyes a chance to evaluate all interested players. There will be a nominal fee to cover ice cost.
Please see below for more details on the At Large team concept.
The widely popular BYHA Midget Major U18 program continues to grow! We are announcing a 2nd Midget Major ‘At Large’ team as another opportunity for youth players to enjoy the game, play excellent competitive hockey, and get ready for their high school season.
Every year the power-house hockey associations cut quality players who either wind up not playing, or are charged too much money to play on an inferior team. The ‘At Large’ team will roster varsity-caliber players who just missed making their local team.
Our mission is to field a 20 player team with the best players from Yarmouth to York who have found themselves without a team after March try-outs. We will play all the Maine U-18 teams and some Southern NH teams. The team will not participate in the MEAHA tournament.
• 15 hours of practice (BIA), starts September 2nd, ends October 26th.
• 8 Home games (BIA), 8 away games
• Jersey and socks included.
• Fee: $600 (Goalies pay ½) - a $150 deposit will be needed.
• USA Hockey registration for 2014.2015 is required
Head Coach: Ryder Noyes

Congratulations to the Biddeford Wave Tier II Midget Major CHAMPIONS! Yes, they won the semi-finals in a 3-2 OT win over Casco Bay this morning and a tight, hard-fought win over Maine Moose this afternoon at Biddeford Arena. Down 5-3 in the 2nd period, this team never gave up and never looked back tying the game late in the 2nd period and scoring the go-ahead goal with less than a minute on the clock. Great job Wave!
